IoT India Congress

The Platform of Platforms for the Internet of Things

In 2015, IET India volunteers designed and conceptualised a think tank called the IET IoT Panel of industry leaders in IoT space. The panel was formed with the objective of being a neutral and credible voice to evangelize Internet of Things in India and help accelerate the adoption of IoT. One of the outcomes of the year-long work of the panel is the flagship event called IoT India Congress. It brings together global industry leaders, researchers and technology evangelists, government policy makers and academia under one roof, making it a powerful source shaping the evolving IoT movement in India.

Over the last 3 editions, the event has grown into becoming a Platform of Platforms for the Internet of Things, gaining significant traction from the entire ecosystem. The first edition was devoted to unifying the fragmented IoT, the second edition focused on exploiting this platform for unravelling business outcomes while the third on demonstrating business opportunities and outcomes. Really enthusiastic and influential people, a very relevant agenda and excellent participation from the wider industry. We couldn’t have hoped for more. This is going to be a hard act to follow.

The IoT India Congress 2019 has become the Gold standard in conferences. A must do on everyone's calendar, the congress this year had a rich array of initiatives ranging from practical Business case led presentations to concurrent topics to future tech spotlight. The quality of content, the bevy of hi-tech organizations, the spectrum of programs and the caliber of speakers is nonpareil and raises the bar for IoT Congregations in this part of the globe.
This event is the holy grail for anything & everything on IoT.
Lux Rao, Director & Leader – Solutions, NTT India
The Panel discussion around Exploring IoT based solutions to provide primary care to remote locations “ is definitely a topic which has a relevant today and that is the need of the hour for the government and private players. Unlike a usual panel discussion, here the discussions were more around a case study. Infact this brought in a deeply involved preparation and discussion. The issues and solutions were discussed in detail by eminent panellists and the presence of an interactive crowd helped the discussion too. Overall an excellent program and I personally enjoyed the interactions too.
Venukrishnan Unnikrishnan, Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer & Ostrich Mobility Instruments Pvt Lyd
Thank you to all the panelists and the contributors of the retail track. The discussion was not only relevant from a future perspective, it very clearly laid out a path for what needs to happen now in order to make that future a reality.

Amit Rao, VP - Trusted Objects, APAC, Tech Evangelist
I really enjoyed the congress and had the privilege of giving the super keynote. It brings together all the different parts in the IoT ecosystem: the fragments and stakeholders alike. I was very impressed with the inauguration at the event- I was expecting a lamp but the whole multi-media extravaganza was very impressive.
Prof David De Roure, Professor, eResearch, University of Oxford
When we started 3 years back, it was very academic in nature: we were thinking of imaginary healthcare solutions. But as time went by, we focused on practical solutions and now it has become Business As Usual. This year we focused on how IoT can be used to solve an actual industry challenge: Ayushmaan Bharat health and wellness centre. Next year you can expect applications of technologies like AR, VR and AI actually being implemented in some of the Ayushmaan Bharat Wellness Centres here. This is truly a common, neutral platform where people can ideate and co-create solutions.
