PoP 91 INNOVATION CHALLENGE

PoP 91 Innovation Challenge is a unique innovation contest that aims to find actual and implementable solution for the real-world problems through Internet of Things.

We are seeking to get a practical, feasible and cost-effective solution to the challenges that the industry is facing today, through IoT and related technology. This year, the 7 focus industries are namely – Smart Cities, Healthcare, Energy, Agriculture, Retail, Digital Communications and Manufacturing. For this, the IET India team has conducted various surveys with over 100 industry practitioners and collected the top challenges faced by each of these industries. The results of the survey have been evaluated by the Core Committee of IoT India Congress.

CONTEST FLOW

The challenge is the first of its kind and will have approximately 350 teams across 7 industries competing over 3 months to win a cash prize up to INR 1,00,000 or an incubation or recruitment opportunity in a top corporate firm/startup accelerator. The platform partner for the challenge is Skillenza.

Registration

Online registration is needed to participate in the challenge. Registration and team formation is open until 3rd July. To participate, create an account on Skillenza’s platform, register on the activity, and you are all set to take up the challenge

Teams

Upto 50 teams from India and abroad can register per industry challenge making a total of 350 teams across the 7 industries

Industry Segment

Problem statement across the 7 industry segments are different. Team members will have to work together and submit their ideas on the platform by 5th July

Pre-Jury

A pre-jury of industry experts will shortlist the top 5 teams in each industry based on the ideas submitted

Mentors

Post shortlisting, mentors will be assigned to each of the 7 industry challenge who will guide the teams to create a solution over the months that will be displayed at the main event

Prototype Exhibit

Up to 35 shortlisted teams will get the opportunity to showcase their solutions at the expo zone

Winner Announcement

Winners will be rewarded and recognised with cash prices up to 1 lakh or an incubation or recruitment opportunity with a top corporate firm/ startup accelerator

Certification

To assure industry acceptable standards, all participating teams need to be certified on One M2M standards
