Robin Saxby is the creator of the world’s most prolific microprocessor. He holds Honorary Doctorates at the Universities of Liverpool, Loughborough, Essex, York, Anglia Ruskin and Nottingham Trent. As a CEO in ARM, he built the company to a “global giant” with offices around the world. In 1991, he took 12 engineers from Acorn Computers into the newly formed venture between Acorn and Apple. With a limited budget of a $1.5 million from Apple he made those 12 engineers into one of the most formidable management teams in the industry. During his 10 years of service as a CEO he made ARM the most valuable company in Cambridge cluster, with a market capitalization of over $10bn. Today Sir Robin Saxby is an angel investor and mentor in various technology start-ups and tirelessly promotes young entrepreneurs.
